She walks in beauty, like the night

She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that's best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes: Thus mellowed to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies. One shade the more, one ray the less, Had half impaired the nameless grace Which waves in every raven tress, Or softly lightens o'er her face; Where thoughts serenely sweet express How pure, how dear their dwelling place. And on that cheek, and o'er that brow, So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent, A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent! ----Lord Byron ----continue ---

Jaadu Ki Zappi.... its working all over

Sometimes, a hug is all what we need. Free hugs is a real life controversial story of Juan Mann, A man whos sole mission was to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives. In this age of social disconnectivity and lack of human contact, the effects of the Free Hugs campaign became phenomenal. As this symbol of human hope spread accross the city, police and officials ordered the Free Hugs campaign BANNED. What we then witness is the true spirit of humanity come together in what can only be described as awe inspiring. In the Spirit of the free hugs campaign, PASS THIS TO A FRIEND and HUG A STRANGER! After all, If you can reach just one person........... (from : http://www.freehugscampaign.org/) for more information on Free hugs campaign : http://www.freehugscampaign.org/

My Internship

Doing Internship is part of our curriculum but the big question was where do I do it?. I thought that Herald would be a good place, but, destiny had something else in store for me. I started my internship in Indian Express (IE) Pune from January 1 st. My field supervisor was Sunanda Mehta Ma'm (Feature Editor of IE Pune) so it was obvious that I spent most of the time in features than reporting. In my first week I didn't have much to do other than PD (Pune Diary) or briefs . No big assignment, not even a PC (Press conference) came my way. But opportunity came knocking with the weekly meeting of features. Sunanda ma'm asked me to participate in it and to suggest new ideas. The first idea that I put before ma'm was that of a "struggle story of an architect". "Do it for real page 3," ma'm said. This was my first initiative and I realized that I too could put my ideas forward. I finished my story by Sunday morning and it has printed in Monday's ...

Her eyes..

I remember that was first time I visited to the ‘institute’. Out side I was waiting for my friend Raj . As those were days of December quivering cold waves were passing ___ fog which was rare in Pune has already created romantic mood. Every one on the road was appearing with their shawls, sweaters and pullovers. Rather they were looking like funny string-puppets from puppet show. As clock slowly moved towards nine thirty, and at least there were thirty minutes to over the class. I had strong urge to sip a cup of tea at tapir (Kiosk ), which was situated at the end of road. I moved towards my bike, which was parked near to the fence wall of institute. As I started my bike, I saw a girl on her scooter was approaching towards institute. I waited for second as I feel that I know her, thinking that she may be…. but her face was half covered with scarf. The only thing I could see was her eyes.. A cool breeze, which was flowing from hillside, revealed her face out of her scarf. I had eye-to-...

Clint Eastwood’s ‘Letters from Iwo Jima’ stands a better chance in the Best Director category. It’s a straight fight between ‘Babel’ and ‘The Departed’. Both are epics with solid performances, and ‘The Departed’ is vague. Though ‘Babel’ falls on the similar lines of last year’s forerunner ‘Crash’ it is still a favourite because of its global theme, strong central performances and story lines. United 93 the film talks about 9/11 chaos and unknown hero’s hijacke...
